I’m Wangshu Yu — my name means moon — and much of my work follows that metaphor. I create interactive and spatial experiences that reveal the hidden side of a story: the quieter perspectives, the overlooked emotions, the subtle structures that shape how we move through the world. My practice sits at the intersection of space, touch, narrative, and technology, and I’m drawn to forms of expression that feel gentle on the surface but carry depth underneath. Whether I’m building an immersive sound installation or designing a narrative game, I focus on lowering barriers to participation and inviting people to encounter a story in their own way. For me, designing is not about spectacle; it’s about illumination — the soft kind that lets you see what was always there, just out of view.
