Miss TangXing

An experimental text-based game set against the historical backdrop of Japanese women trafficked to Southeast Asia during the Second World War. Players do not assume the role of victims, but instead enter the narrative as a ‘Western agent’ tasked with investigating brothels in the region. As the inquiry unfolds, players will gradually uncover the women's circumstances—concealed by history—through dialogue, fragmented clues, and hand-drawn scenes. This process reveals how their own observational methods are imbued with structural biases.
