Farewell My Concubine

This project reimagines the costumes of Farewell My Concubine by focusing on the emotional architectures of Cheng Dieyi and Juxian. Their garments become symbolic surfaces—Dieyi’s dissolving between self and role, Juxian’s holding strength within fragility—using contemporary materials to reveal devotion, resistance, and the blurred boundaries between performance and identity.
